Meet the Jersey Fly Girls
Barbara teaches 8th grade English at a local public school when she's not working her LuLa business. Prior to teaching America's youth, she spent the first 13 years of her career in adult education. To say Barbara is passionate about education is an understatement.
Barbara first found LuLaRoe when her niece reached out to her in May of 2016 and asked her to host an online party. Despite having NO IDEA what LLR was, she said, 'Sure!'. Little did Barb know, her life was about to change...
Within a few months, Barb roped in her two oldest daughters, Nicole and Angela, to join her on her adventure with LuLaRoe. Her other two children, Dani and Christopher, have helped with events and lugging boxes, too! Family, first and foremost, has always been Barb’s WHY--her driving force.
Angela works at a full-service marketing agency in Morris Plains. Before entering the Monday-Friday office life, Angela worked in professional kitchens. That's right! After attending culinary school, she worked in restaurants and country clubs all over the state of New Jersey. No, literally - Bayonne down to Rumson.
In the summer of 2014, Angela landed a dream job at a new restaurant in downtown Washington D.C. After only a few months, she had some medical issues that unfortunately ended her culinary career. Thanks to some wonderful family, she was back to work in November of 2016 and has been there ever since!
Angela enjoyed LuLaRoe's clothes before signing on to join the business. She quickly discovered how comfortable and flattering LuLa clothes could be, even for someone who was plus-size and needed things to be soft.
As one of the original Jersey Fly Girls, Nikki was involved in Barb's LuLaRoe business even before Angela. Over the last couple years, Nikki has stepped back - and for good reason... Her toddler, William, is a handful; but he's very cute!
While Nikki isn't a part of the day-to-day operations anymore, she still happily tries on new styles for us and loves wearing LuLaRoe while teaching (or chasing her two-year-old). You'll likely see pictures of William more often than Nikki, but everyone seems to be okay with that!
